Mobility
For robots to work inside buildings, they have to talk to elevators and automatic doors. Safe vertical travel requires two-way communication, yet with so many manufacturers and models, an integration had to be developed separately for every site. M2MTech solved this by proposing technology that was approved as an international standard, and is extending the same integration architecture to UAM and drone stations, EV charging and ESS.
- Delivery & serving robots
- Autonomous logistics robots
- UAM & drones
- EV charging & ESS
- Automatic doors & speed gates
- Open API subscription
Building on our robot–elevator integration API, we are expanding across mobility infrastructure, including UAM, drones, EV charging and ESS.
The challenge on site
A robot that can only call an elevator cannot tell whether it is running normally or whether its doors are open. Safe vertical travel requires two-way communication, yet with so many manufacturers and models, robot companies had to develop a separate integration for every site.
What ELSA does
- Two-way elevator communicationRobots board only after the elevator’s safety status is confirmed.
- Direct integration with any manufacturer or modelCollects elevator status and integrates directly, ensuring interoperability between systems.
- Standard integration APIOne API for every site, with no per-site development.
- Automatic door & speed gate integrationControls and manages robot access as well.
- Open API subscription platformRegister sites, elevators and robots, and pay automatically for what you use.
Expected benefits
- Autonomous operationRobots, elevators and gates work together without human intervention
- Safety managementRobots board only after the elevator’s safety status is confirmed
- Lower integration costsA single standard API covers every site
