M2M Tech (CEO Kim Jin-ki), an AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) convergence specialist, announced that it has been selected as a company in the robotics sector for the 'Super Startups 1000+ Project' by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Having been selected in the robotics sector, M2M Tech will receive support. Since its establishment, M2M Tech has developed an unmanned delivery service platform by applying accumulated experience in the smart elevator domain and the latest AIoT technology since 2020.
M2M Tech's 'ELSA.M' is a platform that provides interoperability based on international standards, enabling robots to use elevators, automatic entrance doors, speed gates, and more. The platform not only solves the complex and diverse connectivity issues between robots and various manufacturers and models at the actual operating site but also has a high level of defense against security issues such as personal information leakage and hacking, which are required for digital transformation.
M2M Tech's elevator boarding platform is currently being integrated with service robot platforms in locations such as Incheon Songdo officetels, semiconductor component manufacturing sites, and hotels, apartments, resorts, and others being pursued by KT for business collaboration.
The 'Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project' organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups aims to foster over 1,000 promising startups with the technology to enter the global market in the top 10 advanced future industries necessary for securing national competitiveness. This project involves joint efforts between the public and private sectors to invest over 2 trillion won for five years. Selected startups can receive a total of 1.1 billion won, including technology commercialization funds (up to 600 million won) and R&D funds (up to 500 million won), to enhance their technological capabilities and connect them to business development for the next three years.
The top 10 superior fields include system semiconductors, bio-health, future mobility, environmentally friendly energy, robotics, big data AI, cyber security networks, aerospace and maritime, next-generation nuclear power, and quantum technology.
CEO Kim Jin-ki stated, "M2M Tech is being recognized by domestic telecommunications operators and global multinational robot manufacturers for the development and commercialization of interoperability technology for robot boarding platforms. Based on this, we aim to challenge the global market, which is expected to have infinite growth opportunities."
He further added, "Through the support of the government's Super Gap Startups Project, M2M Tech will commercialize an innovative and open robot boarding platform that can compete with global companies, and it will serve as a catalyst for us to grow into a global enterprise."
